I think one thing that characterizes New Yorkers is that we don’t always want to (or think to) photograph typical NYC landmarks. I must have walked through Grand Central Station hundreds of times in the past decade, and I’ve never taken a picture.
The other day, however, I was making my way through to run a couple errands only to discover both of my destinations were closed. So my trip was pointless.
Which made me want to take a photograph so the trip ultimately had some purpose.
